Celebration! Schools Over!

The day before yesterday, I went out for a lot of fun. In the morning I went shopping with Melanie so that we could celebrate (and console ourselves) for (hopefully) passing all our classes. (We still haven't received grades yet.)

I bought a couple of new tops and some books I've been looking for. We ran around and goofed off as usual. Later in the day our school was hosting an event and my friend Holly had invited us to go. Well, Melanie decided to go hang out with her boyfriend instead. She should have just dragged him along because Holly and I had a blast! She really missed out on the fun!

With finals over, the college held a carnival- oh wait. Excuse me. CLAWnival.

Because our mascots a bear. Get it? Eh! Eh! *nudge nudge* I know it's a goofy pun, but still we had lots of fun!

For the most part we just ran around indulging our inner child. We rode on a spinning ride, a mechanical cow (I know it's a bull, but it looked more like a cow.) and then a spinning teacup ride. Unfortunately, I only have the after pictures because my camera was out of batteries. So sad. We played some mini games like basketball and ring toss and won some fun prizes! They had the cutest giraffes plushies. It was so awesome to see just about everyone walking around the fair with a giraffe stuffed in their pockets or bags. I saw one guy had the toy in the collar of his shirt with it's head sticking out the back. Talk about having eyes in the back of your head! Holly and I met up with Megan and Courtney while waiting in line to have a charicature done. I was so inspired by the giraffes that I asked if the artist would draw one in my picture!

We also did face paints. There was this little boy running around with a batman paint mask and I was pretty jealous. Man! Why didn't I think of that! My butterfly was still awesome, but let's face. Batman vs. a butterfly. I think we all know who wins. ;)

^Ta' da! My butterfly!

^There was a photo booth and these were our pictures. I took them into photoshop to make it look like an old filmstrip.

After all that excitement Holly and I went out to eat at a restaurant near were we live. The food was prefect! Holly had chicken wings and I got a "Plain Jane" burger. After such a long day of all play I needed it too!
