The Sushi Dis-Connection

Hi Hi! Yes, We're still alive. We're just bored and haven't really done anything worthy of blogging. Although, about a week or two ago I went out with some friends for lunch and shopping. (I'm just too lazy to update. Tee Hee.) It was fun too. (I don't have any actual pictures though... )

WARNING! ULTRA LONG POST! YAY!

My friend Melanie and I decided to go have lunch with our good pal Dillon. Some how the two of us ended up waiting at Best Buy waiting for him in the game section. I've never played with a Wii before and Melanie, seeking entertainment, told me to play with the display Wii. It was pretty hard which surprised me because I'm such an avid gamer. (I think part of it was Melanie made me wear heels...) If anything Melanie got a good laugh out of it until I finally figured out what I was doing! So Melanie and I played Mario Tennis until Dillon showed up. We were doing pretty good until the end when the Shy Guy beat us forty-love. Those little guys are cute, but they are evil!

See that? That is the face of evil! Aw! But it's soo cute!

So after our humiliating defeat, (Come on! There were three of us against one little AI! It had to have cheated. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!) Dillon and Melanie conveniently decided that we were all going to eat sushi. I'm not really a fan of fish unless it's cat fish, but I particularly hate sushi. Unfortunately, I had been out vote and I figured I'd just go along with it.

It was about 2:30 in the afternoon and Dillon had to be to work by five. So we drove out to the restaurant he wanted to take us to only to find that it was closed until five. Disappointedly, Dillon drove to another Sushi shop that he knew of only to find that it was closed for the day! Though I felt bad for Dillon, I couldn't help doing the 'Happy Happy' dance in the back of my head! Well, at this point it was almost 3:30. (Traffic had not been kind.) Dillon decided he would admit his defeat and we'd all just go to Subway, but when we pulled into the shopping center with a Subway Melanie pointed out a Chinese restaurant, named Chin Chin, that served sushi too. Though none of us had eaten there we decided that it would be worth looking into it. I was particularly happy because then Dillon could get his fish and I could get beef or chicken! It looked to be a win-win situation.

Inside the restaurant was very fancy. The three of us had stop in just between the lunch crowd and dinner crowd, so we were the only group there. As we took a table and looked over our menus, I choose beef and broccoli while my companions picked out some sushi and tofu. (for Melanie because she's a vegetarian, but she also eats fish.) Our server came to take our orders and when Dillon asked for sushi the manager (who was acting as our server) informed us that the sushi chef wouldn't be in until six o'clock that night. Poor Dillon! Sushi just wasn't meant to be that day! But he got a sweet and sour chicken with broccoli instead. So it was still a happy ending!

After that it was almost time for Dillon to work, so Melanie and I sent him on his merry way while we went to look at animals at Petco! (The video at the bottom of the blog show some cute mice we saw!) It was a good day!
